Burwood was built in 1982 and first opened in January 1983. The Home is situated in Broadstone, an exclusive residential area very near to Poole and Bournemouth.

The modern, purpose built home is set in a pleasant, wooded situation of over one and a half acres with beautiful landscaped gardens where residents are encouraged to relax. There is ample parking space for visitors and doctors.

Burwood provides accommodation for a maximum of 26 residents in 24 attractively furnished rooms, the majority having en-suite bathroom facilities. All are equipped with a wireless nurse call system, colour television and telephone facility.

Between the two buildings runs a heated, covered walkway with a large, bright conservatory. The conservatory is used for social functions and is a popular meeting place for the residents throughout the year.

 Residents are encouraged to make their room their own, with pictures, personal effects and décor that suite their tastes and personalities.

Residents have a choice of meals and all the food is home made by our in house catering staff.
